KOTA BELUD: Kadamaian assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick has honoured more than 200 former native chiefs, village chiefs and the chairmen and secretaries of the Village Community Management Council (MPKK) who had served in his constituency from 2018 to 2020.

Ewon presented the certificates of appreciation to the 238 recipients during a ceremony held here in Kadamaian Square on Monday.

Also present at the event was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kota Belud Isnaraisah Munirah Majilis.

On a separate note, Ewon said that his position as an opposition representative will not stop him from bringing development to Kadamaian.

He vowed to play his role in the check and balance and development of Kadamaian.

“In 2018 to 2020, we have seen the government’s concern on the need for development in Kadamaian. This is what the people of Kadamaian should demand from the current government,” he said in his speech.
