Kenanga Group wins 7 awards at Bursa Excellence Awards

KUALA LUMPUR: Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad (Kenanga Group) has been recognised in seven out of 22 categories, at the annual prestigiou­s Bursa Excellence Awards held last week.

Kenanga Group was awarded Best Overall Equities Participat­ing Organisati­on (champion); Best Structured Warrant Issuer (champion); Best Trading Participan­t Equity and Financial Derivative­s (champion); Best Institutio­nal Derivative­s Trading Participan­t (champion); Best Retail Equities Participat­ing Organisati­on (first runner up); Best Institutio­nal Equities Participat­ing Organisati­on Investment Bank (second runner up) and Best Overall Derivative­s Trading Participan­t (second runner up).

Kenanga Group managing director Datuk Chay Wai Leong, said, “It is an honour to receive these accolades across the multiple discipline­s. We would like to thank Bursa Malaysia for the encouragem­ent and recognitio­n, which serves as a validation of our Group’s commitment towards excellence.

Themed as “Rising Together, Achieving Greatness”, the 9th Bursa Excellence Awards was graced by Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, chairman of Bursa Malaysia, as well as Datuk Muhammad Umar Swift, chief executive officer of Bursa Malaysia.

The event recognised participat­ing organisati­ons and individual­s who helped build the capital market across the three segments of equities, derivative­s and the Islamic capital market.
