11-year-old girl bitten by two stray dogs

KUALA LUMPUR: A young girl suffered bites to her head and body when she was attacked by probably two stray dogs in Seksyen 2, Wangsa Maju around 5.30 pm on Tuesday (April 13).

Her mother, Norhafizah Abdul Ghafar, said Syauqina Rifqa Sarnizam, 11, had just come back from religious school when she saw dogs lurking near her pet rabbit’s cage.

“She had just arrived in front of the house and at the same time I heard dogs barking. She wanted to shoo them away but I didn’t permit it and told her to wait.

“But she went to shoo them and after a few seconds I heard her screaming,” Norhafizah told Bernama, adding that she then saw her daughter lying face down on the ground and two dogs looking at her.

“I tried to shoo them away but they refused to budge. They only ran away after my husband chased them,” she added.
