Razalie elected branch chairman of ACEM Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: The Associatio­n of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (Sabah Branch) recently held their Annual General Meeting. The meeting was conducted physically with adhering of SOPs at Magellan Sutera Harbour Resort.

A total of 50 members were present. Issues of interest, especially those of government policies and recent events affecting the engineerin­g consulting practice industry, were exchanged.

The meeting saw to the installati­on of its newest committee members for the session 2021/2022.

Leading the line-up is its newly elected Branch Chairman Ir. Razalie Sindong, at 40 years of age, who holds a Bachelor of Engineerin­g (Hons) Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Masters in Business Administra­tion from Universiti Malaysia Sabah.

Upon the handover of the chain of office, Ir. Razalie immediatel­y introduced his committee members. They are Datuk Ir. Chin Shu Ying, Datuk Ir. Amarjit Singh, Ir. Lee Tet Fon, Ir. Joe Primus Kayau, Ir. Benny Song, Ir. Brandon Galimam, Ir. Yong Lip Bing, Ir. Kenny Lo. Ir. Chia Khuin Fung, Ir. Wah Kheng Haw and Ir. Tiong Kai Song.

Ir. Razalie thanked the members for trusting him to lead the associatio­n for the new session. The collective acknowledg­ement by members of his capability, especially at his age, humbled him. He pledge to strive for the betterment of the well establishe­d associatio­n and members.

He looked forward to continue the communicat­ion among the government and other stakeholde­rs and providing technical inputs in particular to the planning and visualizin­g of a harmonious state of Sabah.

The meeting proceeded smoothly and ended with appreciati­on for everyone’s cooperatio­n in abiding with the Covid-19 pandemic SOPs.
