KUALA LUMPUR: German multinational engineering and technology company Bosch has appointed Klaus Landhaeusser as the new managing director of its businesses in Malaysia, Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd.

In a statement yesterday, Bosch said Landhaeusser is an automotive engineer by profession and has amassed over 20 years of automotive sales, marketing, government relations, and leadership experience at Bosch.

“Malaysia is not new to me as I was stationed here for about three-and-a-half years, heading the local sales of original equipment.

“It feels great to be back with a greater responsibility wherein I can continue to build on the strong network and foundation that Bosch has long established in this country and hopefully take the business to new heights,” Landhaeusser said.

He said he is also confident that Bosch would remain committed in the Malaysian market, and continue making a difference to the local community through its technology and solutions.

Malaysia houses the largest manufacturing facilities for the company in the region with three plants, and an upcoming fourth plant, each integrated with connected solutions, and has individual research and development teams, engineering and developing vehicle electronics, power tools, automotive steering products, and semiconductors for local and worldwide market in the pipeline.

Besides the Malaysian business, Landhaeusser will continue to helm the automotive sales of original equipment in Southeast Asia as regional director.
