Operation of markets being reassessed
KOTA KINABALU: In light of the spike in Covid-19 cases in Sabah, the state government is now forced to reassess the operation of markets.
Sabah’s official Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said that there is an urgent need to control the number of cases in the state.
“Therefore, all local authorities are required to review the activities of night markets, general markets, weekly markets, tamu, stalls and so on,” he said in a statement.
He reiterated that the operation of Ramadan bazaars is still not allowed in light of the emergence of new clusters.
