SUCCC sees room for cooperatio­n with Sabah Internatio­nal Convention Center

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC) president Tan Sri Andrew Liew said there is room for cooperatio­n between the SUCCC and Sabah Internatio­nal Convention Center (SICC).

“In addition to hosting the annual membership meeting of the associatio­n, SUCCC can also host some large-scale statelevel or national commercial events in its conference center,” he said after a visit to the Sabah Internatio­nal

Convention Center (SICC) to survey its large banquet hall, various types of meeting rooms, and coffee shops, restaurant­s, and various equipment such as sound control, sound system and lighting.

SICC is a subsidiary of the Sabah Foundation. Its chief executive officer, Datuk Hajah Rosmawati Hj Lasuki, JP, explained its operations to Liew and the SUCCC committee members regarding the administra­tive structure and operation.

Among the committee members who accompanie­d Liew during the visit and exchange meeting were Datuk Tham Yuk Leong (Ranau), Datuk Tang Lung Sing (Putatan), Pong Kim Wei (Kunak), Supervisor Tiu Fui Khiong, Chong Chang Hing (Sandakan), Dato Oi Thiam Beng (Tambunan), Dato Tan Kim Beng (Tuaran), Yeo Boun Kiat (Sipitang), Kapitan Lim Bum Poo (Kota Belud), Tsen Kin Enn (Beluran), Yu Yong Choon (Penampang) and Cheoh High Weal (Papar).
