Giat Mara to build new house for Pitas fire victims
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Mara will ensure that a blind busker receives all the help he needs after a devastating fire razed at family’s home in Kampung Kalipuon, Pitas, on April 14.
Sabah Mara director Dr Shahrizin Abdul Sarhadat who visited Bahuddin at the site, said Giat Mara has been given the responsibility to reconstruct a house for the family.
Sabah Mara came into the picture after receiving the news, as one of Bahuddin’s children is a student of Mara Professional College in Johor.
“Today, we visited the family and handed over food, some daily essentials and also some cash. Sadly, the tragedy has left the family with nothing.
“Giat Mara will rebuild the house, and we hope they will have a proper house to live in soon,” he said.
Dr Shahrizin yesterday led a team to Kg Kalipuon Pitas to hand over the assistance.
