Missing man found dead in river
TAWAU: The body of a 23-yearold man reported missing by his father was found in a river near Inderasabah water village on Saturday.
Hazlan Bin Abdul Hamid was reported missing on Friday afternoon after he went out on Thursday at 8pm and did not return home.
District police chief ACP Peter
Ak Umbuas said the deceased who had mental health problem, was found about 7am lying in the river with both legs tied with a green wire and a piece of iron.
He said the investigation is still ongoing and the case has been classified as sudden death.
He added a post-mortem will be conducted after the Covid-19 screening results are obtained.
