Follow SOPs when praying in mosques, surau

-

KOTA BELUD: Pintasan assemblyman Fairuz Renddan has urged Muslims in Sabah to abide by all the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) when performing prayers in the mosques and surau.

He said that the fight against Covid-19 is far from over and everyone has to play their role in curbing the spread of the virus.

Fairuz added that the people should be thankful as they still have the chance to perform their Tarawih prayers in this year's Ramadan, albeit with strict Covid-19 SOPs in place.

He said this after visiting the Kampung Wani and Kampung Rosok mosques with the Kota Belud Bersatu Armada and Bersatu Srikandi members here on Sunday.

During the visit, the two Bersatu wings had also presented donations to the two mosques.

Fairuz, who is also the Sabah Bersatu Armada chief, said that he will continue to do what he can in helping the religious institutions in his constituency with their needs.

He vowed that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government will continue to help all the religions, regardless of their differences.
