Family loses home in Papar fire
PAPAR: A family lost their home in a fire at Jalan Kitangang Kampung Sugud, here on Monday.
Papar fire and rescue operation chief Mohd Khairul Abdul Kohir said 11 fire and rescue personnel were deployed to the location upon receiving a distress call at 8.48 pm.
Mohd Khairul said fire and rescue personnel managed to control the blaze by 9 pm while the whole operation ended at 9.43 pm.
He added that the wooden house was completely destroyed in the fire but no untoward incident was reported.
The cause of the fire and total loss is still under investigation.
