PBS can capture Limbahau if party works hard, stays united – Joachim
PAPAR: Leaders from Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) must work hard to provide their best service to the people and to members of the party.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam said that as members, they must practice the call of party president Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili to be strong and firm in ensuring PBS remains relevant.
“We must adopt the habit of putting the people first and not allow problems to stop the development of the party,” he said at the PBS Limbahau Annual General Meeting.
Joachim, who is also the party's vice president said that Limbahau can be captured by PBS if they worked hard and stayed united.
He said that PBS is one of the best parties in Sabah and that one of the struggles is to ensure Sabah developed together with other states in Malaysia.
He also said that as a member of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, PBS will also help other parties in the government.
Meanwhile, PBS Limbahau division chief Datuk Johnny Mositun said that the Annual General Meeting was the first held for the constituency and that PBS continues its fight there.
Johnny also appealed to the GRS government to realise the road network between Kampung Tampasan, Kampung Kaiduan and Kampung Bisuang, to open a secondary school, health clinic and a mini police station for the constituency.
“I also appeal that the drainage and irrigation system be improved and repaired,” he said.
During the event, PBS Limbahau also received 300 new members.
Also present at the event were PBS Youth chief Christopher Mandut, assistant treasurer general John Masabal, supreme council members and members there.
