Terengganu FC official, manager penalised
Terengganu FC (TFC) have been fined RM20,000 for their team officials’ inappropriate behaviour towards match officials during a Super League match against Sabah FC at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu in March.
They are said to have violated Article 54 (b) of the Football Association of Malaysia’s (FAM) Disciplinary Code after being found guilty of threatening and harassing the match officials during and after the match until police had to intervene.
“The Terengganu FC officials have also been given a stern warning and a heavier sentence will be meted out if they repeat the offence.
“This decision can be appealed,” said FAM Disciplinary Committee deputy chairman Datuk Che Mokhtar Che Ali in a statement.
TFC team manager Zul Fadli
Rozi and team official Mohd Shukri Che Zakaria were each fined RM10,000 and RM5,000 respectively for violating Article 59 of the same code, which is for non-sportsmanship behaviour in the same match.
Zul Fadli also received a fourmatch suspension while Mohd Shukri was suspended for two matches, starting with today’s Super League clash against Penang. — Bernama
