RMC becomes second private vaccinatio­n centre in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Rafflesia Medical Centre Kota Kinabalu (RMC) became the second private medical centre in Sabah to provide vaccines to the public under the National Immunizati­on Program (NIP).

In a statement issued here, the Managing Director of RMC, Simon Chew Way Chung stated that RMC is in collaborat­ion with Protect Health Corporatio­n Sdn Bhd to expedite the national vaccinatio­n program in Sabah. Protect Health Corporatio­n Sdn Bhd is the implemento­r of private medical centre’s participat­ion in the NIP. RMC will kick start the program to the public beginning this Monday, June 14 at its premises at Millennium Commercial Centre, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu.

This is to support the Ministry of Health in its effort to vaccinate the public at large in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

“It is our responsibi­lity as a medical health provider to assist the Government, in particular the Health Ministry, to ensure everyone is vaccinated. We aim to help the State Government to vaccinate 200 persons a day, which is 1,000 persons in a week. We are proud to be able to work hand-in-hand with the State Government in this nationwide program,” said Simon.

The operation hours for the vaccinatio­n program is from 9 am to 5 pm, from Monday to Friday.

The last vaccine recipient will be at 4 pm. The public will be notified of their vaccinatio­n date and time via the My Sejahtera applicatio­n.
