Richard retains FSI presidency

KOTA KINABALU: Richard Lim has been retained as the Federation of Sabah Industries President.

He was returned unopposed to the post in FSI’s 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was held on November 20.

During the AGM, Lim reported to the members present FSI’s successful achievemen­ts and activities throughout the year during his previous term.

FSI, he said managed to establish a good network and connection between the State and Federal Government, pushing agendas and brought up issues on behalf of the members to the authoritie­s, delivering government messages to the members, updating relevant SOP during the Covid-19 pandemic and supporting in accelerati­on of vaccinatio­n in Sabah.

Lim said during his term, FSI had also carried out its corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR) and supported the Ministry of Industry Developmen­t (MID) in on helping the Beaufort flood victims, donating food aid as well as giving out face masks to frontliner­s and others.

FSI also jointly organised the sanitising exercise of two schools in Kota Kinabalu.

FSI and the Industrial Developmen­t ministry also visited industry players in Sandakan and Kota Kinabalu especially to the FSI members’ factories.

Lim thanked all FSI members, especially the executive council members for the support and cooperatio­n to him which made it possible to deliver his tasks and targeted goals successful­ly.

FSI, he said, will continue to support and work together with the State Government to push more on good agendas and policies to benefit Sabah as its economy recovers after the pandemic.

He also said he will deliver his promise to lead FSI members towards a better future.
