KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 60 Malaysian entrepreneurs have been honoured at the ‘Made for The World Excellence Awards 2021.’

The second annual awards ceremony was organised by the bilingual small and medium enterprise (SME) portal, NiagaTimes.com, in collaboration with The Malaysia Voice media to celebrate the outstanding achievement among industry players who have remained resilient in their business and contributed to nation-building despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (MEDAC) secretary-general Datuk Suriani Ahmad, the implementation of such programmes is crucial in helping to improve and enhance the performance of local entrepreneurs as well as indirectly helping in the country’s economic development.

Speaking on behalf of MEDAC Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar, she said all parties realise the important role of entrepreneurs “during the economic ups and downs of a country.”

“Therefore, this awards programme can be considered to be a great driving force in instilling the spirit of entrepreneurship among Malaysians.

“In fact, we at MEDAC will also ensure that all efforts and initiatives of the National Entrepreneurship Policy (DKN) 2030, including the goal to create an ‘entrepreneurial nation’ will continue to be implemented,” she said in a statement.
