Sabah BN to hold rally, launch machinery in Sandakan

KOTA KINABALU: About 10,000 people are expected to flood the Sandakan municipal field this Sunday to express their solidarity with Barisan Nasional (BN) in the Gelombang Biru rally and launching of the coalition’s machinery for Zone 5 that comprises Kinabatangan, Beluran Libaran, Batu Sapi and Sandakan.

Sabah BN chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Moktar Radin said the rally and launching event is the fourth to be held in Sabah after Tawau, Kota Belud and Pensiangan.

According to him, the event will start on Oct 1 with a variety of programs including the RTM Talent audition, cultural and dance performances by Renewar Band, Lai Norman FT Atomic Power, Secret Busker, Qysstyna Busker, Busker Events, MZA Musician and a lucky draw.

The following day, the opening ceremony of the Gelombang Biru rally and BN Zone 5 machinery launch will be held at the same venue at 2pm and officiated by Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican who is also Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican.

Bung Moktar who is Umno Sabah chief, said BN leaders’ presence at the rallies will not only enliven the events but also reflect the solidarity of party members to fight together in the 15th General Election (15GE).

Bung Moktar who is also the Umno Kinabatangan chief, said the rally and machinery launch will also be held at Zone 1 Kudat Kota Marudu, Zone 4 Ranau, Keningau and Tenom, Zone 3 Papar, Kimanis, Beaufort and Sipitang, and Zone 2 Sepanggar, Kota Kinabalu Putatan and Penampang.
