Shahelmey: BN will realise aspirations of Sabah’s people

-

PUTATAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) is the right vehicle to realise all the aspirations of Sabah’s people such as those fought for in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

Putatan candidate Datuk Shahelmey Yahya said that he is optimistic that BN can achieve whatever is fought in MA63, including economic development and addressing the gap in development.

“We must steer Sabah’s economic growth so that it becomes a satisfaction for the people of Sabah and other citizens in Malaysia. This can strengthen unity in the country. I am confident BN can realise Sabah’s people’s dreams as fought for in the 1963 Malaysia Agreement,” he said at a live Zoom telecast dubbed ‘Know the new-gen BN candidates with KJ’ organised by Sungai Buloh BN candidate, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar telecast at his official facebook page on Wednesday.

Showcased in the telecast were BN central information chief Shahril Hamdan who is contesting at Alor Gajah parliament; Datuk Rozabil Abdul Rahman (Arau), Datuk C Sivaraj (Serai), Datuk Chong Sin Woon (Raub), Datuk Mohana Muniandy (Kuala Langat) and Datuk Shaiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin (Merbok).

In the session, Shahelmey also voiced out the economic growth and gap between Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia, which will be among his main aspirations if given the mandate by the people to become a member of parliament later.

“It is my hope that when given the mandate as Putatan member of parliament, and representing the state to voice out economic growth in Sabah and the gap between Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia.

“These (issues) are near to the heart of Sabah’s people,” he said.

Shahelmey will be facing Awang Husaini Sahari (Pakatan Harapan), Ahmad Mohd Said (Warisan) and Poyne B Tudus @ Patrick Payne (Pejuang).
