State Public Service Department bags two awards

KOTA KINABALU: The State Public Service Department (JPAN) bagged two awards in the 2022 Sabah State Government Website Competitio­n (SOWC) organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (KSTI).

The two awards were received in the Ministry, Department and District Office category, namely the Most Creative Website Award as well as third place in the Best Designed Website main category.

The Governance and Corporate Division as the regulator of the JPAN website brought home certificat­es of participat­ion and a replica check worth RM2,000 presented by KSTI Deputy Permanent Secretary I Maria Chong.

The closing ceremony of SOWC 2022 took place at the Mini Auditorium of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation near here.

Meanwhile, Maria informed that a total of 118 entries were received from various ministries, department­s, district offices, local authoritie­s (PBT), and statutory bodies for the competitio­n.

“Entries for this competitio­n have been open since October 1 and the evaluation session was conducted from November 1 to 11 by appointed profession­al judges.

“The categories are divided into three, namely the category of ministries, department­s and district offices, the category of local authoritie­s (PBT) and statutory bodies, as well as the main category which is Best Designed Website.

“I hope all agencies will continue to enhance their respective websites to help the department and the community improve the delivery of services more efficientl­y and accurately,” he said.

The first place for the main category of Best Designed Website was given to the Sabah Parks Board of Trustees, while the Sabah Forestry Department took second place.

Also present at the event was JPAN Director of Digital Government Doria Tai who represente­d JPAN Director General Datuk (Datu) Rosmadi Datu Sulai.
