KOTA BELUD: A total of 33 primary and secondary schools at the Kadamaian state constituency received schooling aid from Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Ewon said the schooling aid totaling RM180,000 was contributed by the Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR), an agency under his ministry.

“From the total, secondary schools received RM10,000 each and RM5,000 was given to every primary school, similar to the early schooling aid which we channeled last year,” he said.

Ewon added that this was the continuity of his responsibility at the ministry as the area’s people’s representative to continue ensuring education is given the necessary attention in addition to building entrepreneurship and cooperatives.

“As long as I am in the ministry, I will ensure YBR will continue such assistance and other aids for school students,” he said when launching the handing over ceremony of the school aids in conjunction with the 25th Silver Jubilee of SMK Tambulion establishment at SMK Tambulion on Monday.

Ewon also said that he had brought the Education Minister to visit several schools in Kadamaian to solve several school issues at the constituency.

He added that he had selected SMK Narinang which is faced with students congestion and needed a long-term solution.

Also selected was SK Tamu Darat for school building upgrade as well as SRA Rangalau.

“This is my solution and commitment to bring the best service to the people here and hopefully will open more opportunities for bigger solutions in the future, in line with the Kadamaian development plan that we launched and made as a guideline for Kadamaian’s development,” he said.
