Malaysia Green Building Council Sabah Chapter elects new committee
KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysia Green Building Council (malaysiaGBC) Sabah Chapter elected a new committee at its annual general meeting on March 23.
The election marks a significant step forward in the chapter’s ongoing mission to promote sustainable and green building practices throughout Sabah and beyond.

The malaysiaGBC, founded in 2007 with its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, is a proud member of the World Green Building Council. This international affiliation underscores the council’s commitment to global standards and collaboration in green building practices.
In Sabah, the malaysiaGBC Sabah Chapter has established a productive relationship with the Ministry of Local Government and Housing and Kota Kinabalu City Hall. These partnerships have been instrumental in developing and implementing green policies and initiatives that support the state government’s goals for sustainable and ecofriendly building environments.
The chapter is dedicated to engaging with professional bodies, policymakers, and the community to promote and integrate green practices and sustainable design in the built environment and building industry.
