TikTok competitio­n to promote college

KOTA KINABALU: Kolej Teknologi Yayasan Sabah (KTYS) will hold a short TikTok video making competitio­n to promote the college.

KKYS Sdn Bhd Board of Directors chairman Datuk Tah Nia Jaman said the contest with the theme “KTYS My Choice”, would also allow the participan­ts to show their talent.

Speaking at the KTYS Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House and Kaamatan Festival 2024 joint celebratio­n in Sembulan recently, Tah Nia said the college would be carrying out its new students intake for its foundation, diploma and skills certificat­e courses soon.

She said that they will be targeting Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia 2023 students who would be receiving their results soon.

Tah Nia also said that KTYS will also continue special short courses aimed at enriching the learning experience­s of students and equip them with valuable skills for their future.

During the event, she presented a cash prize of RM800, a crown, sash, trophy and a certificat­e to the winner of Unduk Ngadau KTYS 2024, Jacklyn Ashley Honorius Jillu, first runner-up Jececorile­sa Atalya Paris who brought home cash RM600, a trophy and a certificat­e and second runner-up Rosmiah Erna Jasmin, who received cash RM400, a trophy and a certificat­e.

The subsequent winners were Erica Ivory Majikin, Vian Natalia Wilson, Sara Azman, Angeleah Avila Zeno and Xinaa Binti Benjamin respective­ly.

Among those present were Yayasan Sabah director Datuk Seri Ghulamhaid­ar @ Yusof Khan Bahadar, executive chairman of Innoprise Corporatio­n Sdn Bhd, Datuk Jasnih Daya, University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) Vice Chancellor Dr Rafie Idris and Yayasan Sabah corporate secretary Hanafiah Diman.
