Teach opposition parties a lesson via ballot box — Yap
KUCHING: Sarawakians are urged to teach the opposition parties from Peninsular Malaysia a lesson through the ballot box, telling them that the people of Sarawak rejects Pakatan Rakyat’s political culture of spreading disunity among various communities through their messages of halftruths, lies, slander and empty promises.
In making the call during an address to the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Tematu, Batu Kawa during a dialogue session recently, SUPP Youth Central secretary- general Wilfred Yap called on the community leaders to pass on the correct information and share the good news about the Government Transformation Programmes ( GTPs) and the Economic Transformation Programmes ( ETPs) with the people.
He pointed out that both GTPs and ETPs are devised in accordance with the policy of ‘1Malaysia, People First, Performance Now’.
“They are designed to provide all Malaysians equal access to improved public services irrespective of race and religion and to move Malaysia forward in unity to become an advanced and just society with a high standard of living for all,” he said.
At the same time, Yap also advised the villagers not to risk the future of Malaysia by voting for Pakatan Rakyat as it does not have the ability and experience to govern.

During the dialogue session, Yap also asked the village committee members of Kampung Tematu, Batu Kawa not to be misled by DAP and PKR but instead to take constructive action to counter their destructive approach of lies, half-truths and empty promises and to help Barisan Nasional to retain the Stampin parliamentary seat.
Out of the various programmes implemented by the BN government, Yap, the SUPPannounced candidate for Stampin pointed out that BR1M which benefited more than 5.3 million recipients is proof that only a Barisan Nasional government could promise a brighter future for the people.
He therefore urged the people to vote for a government like the BN government that could truly bring stability, development and prosperity to all people.
