A new milestone for Gnosis Hearing with certification
KUCHING: Achieving ISO 9001: 2008 certification is an important milestone for Gnosis Hearing.
Oct 24 last year marked a significant and memorable date for Gnosis Hearing as the organisation received the Quality Management System ISO 9001: 2008 certificate.
This certification assures its customers nationwide of not only Gnosis Hearing’s strong commitment to quality but also illustrates a systematic approach to satisfy customers and a full commitment to deliver results for its clients.
With the ISO 9001: 2008 certificate, Gnosis Hearing is devoted to continual improvement.
“We are extremely proud and happy to receive this Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001: 2008 certification from Standards Malaysia after being fully assessed by AJA EQS Certification (M) Sdn Bhd against all the standard requirements of the QMS ISO 9001: 2008,” said chief executive officer Mok Yong Yaw.
He said it was another step taken to deliver high expectations and ensure that its group of companies would operate in line with internationally approved standards of quality and efficiency.
The adoption of a quality management system is strategically essential and is influenced by the organisation’s varying needs and objectives.
“QMS ISO 9001: 2008 certifications is not for the company’s product nor for its services, but it actually indicates that Gnosis Hearing has established uniformed business processes practiced within our outlets that produces products and/or services of high quality in accordance with international standards,” he added.
Being one of the largest private sector groups of companies with a wide network of hearing care outlets that house the highest number of qualified audiologists in the country, its scope of service extends to provision of diagnostic hearing tests and consultation on hearing impairment, hearing facilitation and rehabilitation programme.
“Gnosis Hearing has always performed internal checks and processes in order to ensure quality control mechanisms are in place and documentation uptodate.
“As such, it was important for our organisation to have these procedures established for diagnostic hearing tests and consultation on hearing impairment, hearing facilitation and rehabilitation management,” said Mok.
Through this establishment, it is easy to hand over responsibilities within the organisation.
“It was therefore only logical that we took the next step and formalised the procedures by way of getting audited for and obtaining the QMS ISO 9001: 2008 certification,” he added.
