Woman claims car damaged by opposition supporters

SIBU: An election worker lodged a police report Sunday night after a few people, believed to be an opposition party supporters, allegedly climbed up her car to cheer their candidate outside the Civic Centre, causing the top of the car to be dented.

The 42-year-old woman, surnamed Kong, had parked the car there at 9pm to send a ballot box from a polling centre at a primary school in Kampung Bandong to the Civic Centre.

She told police when she went out at 10.15pm, six to seven young people were standing on top of her car and waving party flags.

She later noticed dents on the roof of her car.

She is a Public Works Department (JKR) worker.
