New Selangor MB to be decided in a week

SHAH ALAM: Pakatan Rakyat ( PR) will decide on a suitable candidate to become Selangor’s new menteri besar after winning almost a similar number of state seats in the 13th General Election (GE13), as compared to GE12.

The result will be known in a week when the PR leadership comprising PKR, DAP and PAS convenes a meeting to decide on the matter.

Caretaker Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said PR would decide on the new candidate for menteri besar because it had successfully retained power in Selangor after obtaining a two-thirds majority. — Bernama
