Luo Shi happy to portray Nicholas Tse’s on-screen lover

-

HONG KONG: Mainland Chinese actress is delirious over being cast as Nicholas Tse’s onscreen lover in As The Light Goes Out.

According to Luo Shi, it would widen her appeal outside the mainland China market.

In a direct comment on the possible chemistry between her and Nicholas, Luo Shi said he has the qualities of a potential boyfriend. Plus, they have had few opportunities to work together – until now.

Father- of-two Nicholas has been divorced from actress Cecilia Cheung, but they remain on friendly terms. They still meet up for family outings.

Perky Luo Shi used to love Stephen Chow movies.

She commented: “Although Stephen’s performance was somewhat exaggerated, when people saw it they felt he was just right for the roles.

“This is what makes him charming.”

She idolises Stephen so much that she hopes to work with him in the future. A comedy would be nice, she added.

Said Luo Shi: “If Stephen wants me to play an ugly role, I definitely would be fine with it. I want to learn how to make a funny movie from him .”

In As The Light Goes Out, she portrays a flight attendant.

In portraying Nicholas’ onscreen girlfriend, Luo Shi said they frequently faced scheduling conflicts.

Said a visibly disappointed Luo Shi: “Actually my role was larger, but due to my mainland series schedule conflict a lot of it was edited out. It was truly very regrettable. I wanted more onscreen time with him.”
