Emcare and Intan Buskers to perform at museum bandstand this Sunday

KUCHING: Musical Sundays is back on May 12 with performanc­es by Emcare and Intan Buskers, a three-member band.

Among the members are Mohammad, guitarist, Amierul Syidiq, bass guitarist, and Intan Ruhaida, the guitarist and vocalist of the group, and who has a special interest on the ukulele.

Emcare and Intan Buskers are regular features at night functions and have performed at the Kuching Waterfront Godown Amphitheat­re organised by Arts and Cultural Department (JKKN).

Intan’s, who is only seven years old, favourite is ‘kantoi’ by Sarawakian female singer Zee Avi, ‘Sayang’ by Indonesian female singer Shae, ‘Mirae’ by Japanese singer Kiroro and many more.

Emcare and Intan Buskers are also involved in charity programmes such as the Palestine Humanity Aid.

Kuching North City Council (DBKU) hopes the Musical Sundays programme would encourage local groups of solo acts to use the opportunit­y to showcase their talents on a public platform.

In addition, it will help turn Kuching into a ‘City with a Soul’ with live performanc­es by amateur or profession­al groups.

All are invited to attend the programme, to experience the vibes from Emcare and Intan Buskers this Sunday, May 12, from 4.30pm until 5.45pm at the Museum Park bandstand.
