Dayak bachelors invited to join Keling contest

SIBU: Dayak bachelors aged between18 and 30 years are invited to join this year’s Gawai Dayak Keling contest at a Gawai Dayak dinner at Kingwood Hotel here at 6.30pm on May 26.

Its organising chairman Barieng Balai said contestants would be judged based on their appearance, which contributes 60 per cent to their points, costume (20 per cent) and confidence (20 per cent).

The fi rst to third place winners will walk home with RM1,000, RM700 and RM500 cash respectively.

They would also be given a trophy and hamper each, he said.

Those placed sixth to 10th will each receive a RM100 consolation prize.
