Second Young Entreprene­urs Conference in June

KUCHING: The Second Young Entreprene­urs Conference 2013 will be held at Riverside Majestic Hotel here on June 21.

The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) are jointly organising the conference which will be held from 9am to 1: 30am.

The conference themed “Inspired by the Past-Initiating Business Opportunit­ies” aims to strengthen the trade network among Malaysian young entreprene­urs.

Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) Young Entreprene­urs Committee chairman Chai Hui Kiong said this at a press conference here yesterday.

The conference is also to create awareness on branding among young Malaysian entreprene­urs, to learn how to elevate the value of their company by creating their own brand.

“We hope that young entreprene­urs will come to join this conference as this could enhance the workplace skills, business knowledge and entreprene­urial spirit and build up networking to create more business opportunit­ies for young entreprene­urs,” he said.

“We have invited some prominent young entreprene­urs to share their experience on creating new business ventures or succession from family business,” he added.

He added that the speakers would be sharing their insight with respect to branding as well as their valuable experience­s and success stories of their brands that excel in the internatio­nal market.

The speakers will be ACCCIM president Dato Lim Kok Cheong, Yee Yup biscuit pastry’s inheritor Yee Yoke Cheng, Branding Associatio­n of Malaysia president Datuk Eric Chong and the founder of Nelson’s Franchise, Dato Nelson Kwok.

The talk will be conducted in Mandarin and complement­ed in English. Young entreprene­urs and youths who wish to start up their own business are welcome to join the conference.

KCGCCI urged young entreprene­urs and youths to participat­e in this conference.

Registrati­on fee for members is RM50 and non members, RM100.
