The event is organised in conjunction with Miri City Day on May 20.

It is organised by the Gawai Dayak celebration committee in conjunction with the Dayak Harvest Festival (Gawai) which falls on June 1.

The following day will see another blood donation exercise, also at Bintang Megamall, from 10am to 1pm organised by Persatuan Bimbingan Ajaran Confucius.

Two more campaigns will be held: in the lobby of Mega Hotel from 9am to noon on May 15, and at Permy Mall on May 19.

Miri Hospital Blood Bank assistant information chief Lily Sinta, appealed to regular donors and members of the public to donate blood.

“Gawai is approaching and we anticipate high demand during the holidays.
