Perak BN’S new faces want to give new dimension to state’s administration

-

IPOH: The approach of rejuvenating Umno by fielding many new faces in Perak bore fruit as most of these candidates won with increased majority votes in the seats contested in the recently- concluded 13th general election (GE13).

The party’s bold move of placing its trust in these new faces was clearly not in vain as 17 of the 19 fielded for parliamentary and state seats came out victorious, and they will not only invigorate Umno but will also give a new dimension to the state’s administration.

These new faces have pledged not to disappoint the party’s top leadership, as well as the ‘rakyat’ ( people) who voted them in and are determined to shoulder their new responsibilities to the best of their ability.

The new assemblyman for Bukit Chandan, Maslin Sham Razman, wants to continue with the development achieved by the state thus far and to fulfil the needs of the local residents, including by focusing on developing new housing and Planned Housing Schemes.

His focus will also be on improving infrastructure in the area such as building a bridge connecting Manong with Bukit Chandan and building a connecting road to the NorthSouth Expressway through Menora.

“We will endeavour to boost the handicraft industry and tourism in the Sayong area, hence spurring the local economy and providing more job opportunities to the locals,” said Maslin, who is also Kuala Kangsar Umno division Youth chief.

Mohamad Ziad Mohamed Zainal Abidin, who won the Manjoi state seat, is optimistic that Barisan Nasional ( BN) would do its best for the people in the area who wanted continuous development, especially in infrastructure.

“BN will also improve programmes to produce quality human capital, in line with Malaysia’s goal of becoming a high-income developed nation.

“And we will continue to listen to the pulse of the ‘rakyat’ and solve their problems,” said the Tambun Umno division treasurer. — Bernama
