Batch 1 trailing off, now BR1M for batch 2 in Miri
MIRI: The distribution of 1Malaysia People’s Aid ( BR1M) for batch 2 of recipients at Miri Civic Centre has been running smoothly.
Recipients for batch 2 started to receive their BR1M since last Monday (March 10).
From Monday until Wednesday (March 12), a total of 9,763 recipients have claimed their BR1M assistance at the centre.
On the first day of BR1M distribution for batch 2, the number of the recipients stood at 4,067 people, followed by 3,715 people (2nd day) and 1,981 people on the third day.
During BR1M distribution for batch 2, a total of 1,697 recipients from batch 1 who have yet to claim theirs last week, were seen joining the line at the centre.
Today (March 14) is the last day for the BR1M assistance for batch 2 recipients.
However, those who cannot make it on the given date can claim their vouchers during the next batch of distribution.
The namelist for the successful recipients for batch 2 is now being displayed at the centre.
The checking counters for state constituencies of Piasau, Pujut and Senadin are at the centre’s ground floor and the first floor is for the recipients to cash their vouchers.
For the Sibuti parliamentary constituency, batch 2 recipients are expected to receive their assistance from March 17-20.
The distribution involves a total of 5,073 recipients from Sibuti parliamentary comprising the two constituencies of Bekenu and Lambir.
The first distribution of batch 2 is scheduled for March 17-18 (8am until 4pm) at Bekenu Community Hall and Bekenu’s basketball court.
For the convenience of recipients for Sibuti parliamentary who stay in Miri, distribution would be held at the Miri Indoor Stadium.
On March 20, the last date of distribution of batch 2 is scheduled at Batu Niah Community Hall.
