Chase FAME — open day on weekend

KUCHING: FAME Internatio­nal College (formerly known as FTMS College) will be having its Open Day this weekend ( March 15 and 16) from 9am to 4pm.

Various promotions and fun-filled activities will be carried out during the twoday event and among the highlights include chances to win free merchandis­e such as laptops, iPad minis and printers.

The college will be giving out three free merchandis­e to those who attend and register for a programme on the spot or on a later date.

As the free merchandis­e is limited, therefore it is subjected to a first come, first served basis.

FAME education consultant­s will be available to counsel parents and students in making informed decisions on course selection as well as answer any questions on available scholarshi­ps, promotions and financial aid.

Talks and presentati­ons about the college and the courses offered will be conducted to further assist parents and students in making betterinfo­rmed decisions on higher education.

FAME believes in educating students not only to excel in academics but to also prepare them to do well in other aspects in life.

“We do not only impart academic knowledge to the students but also shape our students’ attitudes, mindsets and skillsets that are required in today’s competitiv­e global market,” said FAME chief executive officer David Chew in a press statement.

“We achieve this through our quality services by treating each other just like family, by being approachab­le and empowering each other,” he added.

Students at FAME are given opportunit­ies to be involved in real-life business related cases in their lessons and are encouraged to integrate their skills in organising various activities.

FAME students have organised several events yearly such as Halloween Night, FAME Race and Challenge, Buffet Dinner Gathering, BBQ trips and Prom Night.

Over the years, the college has successful­ly produced graduates who are currently working in the government and private sectors and some as entreprene­urs.

Prospectiv­e students with SPM results can expect to choose their courses from Diploma in Accounting and Finance, Diploma in Business Administra­tion, Diploma in Business Informatio­n Systems, Diploma in Entreprene­urship and Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) in their pursuit of higher learning.

All courses offered by FAME are fully accredited and recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualificat­ion Agency (MQA).

Students are able to further their studies after their diploma at universiti­es affiliated with FAME such as University of Sunderland (UK), University of Portsmouth (UK), Oxford Brookes University (UK), University of Derby (UK), Southern Cross University (Australia), BPP University College (UK), Anglia Ruskin University (UK), Management Developmen­t Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and FTMS Global KL.

University of Cumbria is situated in the northwest of England and is ranked in the top three in the northwest of England for Business and Management studies. Cumbria is considered one of the most beautiful regions of the UK, attracting around 40 million visitors each year.

Scholarshi­ps will be available to students who achieved excellent results in SPM.

In addition, FAME offers hardship scholarshi­ps to all diploma courses to financiall­y aid students who qualify.

Students can apply for National Higher Education Funds Corporatio­n (PTPTN), a study loan which is a low-interest loan of one per cent that is given out by the government to assist students financiall­y.

Students can be rest assured that the college will fully assist them in their PTPTN applicatio­n process all the way till submission.

Course payments can also be made via credit card Easy Payment Plan (with 0 per cent interest if paid within 12 months) with Public Bank, RHB Bank and Maybank.

Parents or students can also opt for FAME’s very own interest free, flexible monthly repayment scheme which can be paid over the period of up to 25 months.

Alternativ­ely, payments can be made from the withdrawal of savings from the EPF second account for qualified EPF members.

Students are advised to bring along their SPM results and MyKad for consultati­on and registrati­on purpose during the two-day event.
