New way to cook with Healsio steam oven

KUCHING: Sharp’s latest product, the Healsio superheated steam oven, will open the door to a new way to cook delicious, healthy meals with reduced calories.

The superheated steam in the Healsio oven is a clear, colourless vapour comprising ordinary steam heated to a higher temperature of above 200 degrees Celsius. Demonstrator Patricia Fair said the superheated steam transfers heat efficiently and has a high cooking capacity, which is widely used in commercial ovens and for food processing.

“The Healsio superheated oven can be used for various types of cooking methods including roast, grill, steam and bake,” Fair said at the Haw Electrical Trading Sdn Bhd exhibition booth at the Sarawak Furniture and Home Expo at CityONE Megamall yesterday.

filled with steam, minimises oxidation, thus enabling food nutrients to be retained. Super low oxygen cooking preserves Vitamin C, which is susceptible to oxidation.

Cooking with Healsio also ensures consumers get the nutrients they need from everyday meals. Meanwhile, another new product is Sharp’s air purifier.

Sales representative Vincent Lim said high- density Plasmacluster Ion Technology helps breakdown and remove mould spores.

For example, he said, it effectively reduces mould growth on rubber window frames and prevents mould growth even where it is difficult to clean.

The technology also breaks down and removes nearly 99 per cent of airborne viruses in as fast as 10 minutes, breaks down 99.9 per cent of dust mite allergens in airborne house dust, as well as deodorises clothes in one night by breaking down any unpleasant clinging odours.

“Consumers do not have to worry about electrical bills because these air purifiers consume very low electricity. It is available from 27 watts onwards,” he said. Sharp’s Aquos Quattron series is also on display at the booth. The 90-inch Aquos showcases Japan’s leading edge technology in big screens. Lim said it comes with two years’ manufacturer warranty, plus one year all-risk insurance including fire, lightning, accidental damage, flood and theft.
