World Halal Week 2014 honours three outstanding exhibitors
KUCHING: It was an exciting kickstart for the three exhibitors of the 11th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2014) when they walked away with awards in recognition of their active participation in MIHAS and the Halal industry in general.
The awards were presented to the winners at the World Halal Week 2014 Dinner hosted in appreciation of approximately 1,000 exhibitors, buyers, speakers and foreign delegates who came together for the event.
The night saw the award for the Best Pavilion received by Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA). The exhibitor was selected as it possess the best development of pavilion design, its application of innovative information in the overall concept, authenticity, uniqueness and overall creativity of the pavilion, and relevance of the theme adopted for the pavilion.
Saudi Cold Storage Sdn Bhd on the other hand bagged the Most Promising Entrepreneur Award based on its achievements in terms of growth and business success, its products marketable value, customer service and successful marketing strategy.
MIHAS Best Product Packaging Award was given to AMER – The Art of Taste CC based on the exhibitor’s product design and concept, attractiveness, overall arrangement of logo and product description, use of colour and design elements, description of product information, and quality.
Every year Malaysia organises the MIHAS and World Halal Conference ( WHC) which run concurrently during the World Halal Week.
The events gather global industry players, entrepreneurs, academician, decision makers, traders and relevant stakeholders that drive the Halal industry worldwide.
With strong support from corporate organisation such as MAYBANK Islamic, MIHAS and the World Halal Conference will continue to move forward in its quest to assume the leading position in its role of serving the global community.
The World Halal Week 2014 is a joint effort by two different organisations led by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). MIHAS is organised by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and WHC is organised by Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC).
