SUPP Pending to hold colouring, drawing contests
KUCHING: The Sarawak United People’s Party ( SUPP) Pending branch will hold a colouring and drawing contest at Dewan Sa’ati, SUPP headquarters on July 6.
The contest is in connection with SUPP’s 55th anniversary and the Pending branch’s 30th anniversary.
A press statement said the contest aims to promote racial harmony and social stability amongst the younger generation.
Themed ‘I Love Malaysia: Unity, Peace & Harmony’, participants are to show their love for the country through creative drawing and colouring skills.
The colouring contest is divided into Primary A for those in Primary 1 to 3 and Primary B for Primary 4 to 6 pupils.
Registration for these categories will open at 8am, while the contest will run from 9am to 11am.
For secondary school students, the two-hour drawing contest will start at 2pm.
Those in Form 1 to 3 will be grouped into Secondary A, while those in Form 4 to 6 can join the Secondary B category.
Registration for these categories will start at 1pm.
All participants are required to use drawing paper provided by the organisers and bring their own colouring and drawing tools and equipment including a table or chair.
Prizes for Primary A are RM200, RM100 and RM50 for the top three as well as five consolation prizes of RM30.
For Primary B, the top three prizes are RM300, RM200 and RM100, while the five consolation prizes are RM50 each.
For Secondary A, RM500, RM300 and RM200 await the top three respectively while the five consolation prizes are RM80 each.
The top three prizes for Secondary B are RM600, RM400 and RM300, while the five consolation prizes are RM100 each.
All participants will also be awarded with a certificate of participation.
Registration is free and forms are available from SUPP Pending branch at Lot 7159, Supreme Garden, Upper Chawan Road or www.supp.org.my.
