After School Project to hold trial session for mentors

-

MIRI: The After School Project (ASP) Miri’s Mentor Trial Session will be held in Miri on Saturday, June 28 at Kompleks Hamidah Yakup.

This year, ASP is continuing its efforts to provide a better learning environment for orphans and children with limited resources for their educational growth by inviting more volunteers to the trial session.

“I believe this trial session will be a call for Miri community to face up to the issue of education scarcity among orphans,” said Interhill corporate communication manager Agnes Nyelang yesterday.

She said the objectives of the session are to provide insights to people interested in becoming mentors for The After School Project and also to encourage Miri community to have more understanding and empathy towards children in need.

There are two sessions, at 9am and 1pm.

Participants are welcome to join one or both sessions.

“The session will start with a sharing by ASP experienced mentors and experts from the education industry.

“We want the participants to enjoy their very own moment just among the children and themselves,” Agnes added.

She said ASP hoped that people would see it as an opportunity to form a habit of giving back to society.

The ASP is organised by Interhill Employee Club and powered by Interhill Group, in line with the company’s philosophy in staying Committed to People.

It hopes to offer an initiative for affordable learning for orphans or children with limited resources in their educational growth.

No participation fee will be charged. Registration can be made through ASP’s website www.after-schoolproject.com.
