PAS ready for Malaysia Day do in Miri

Over 100 runners have confirmed participating in PAS’ `For You Sarawak’ event on Sept 14, organised in conjunction with Malaysia Day.

Organising chairman Mohd Asrul said the Men’s Open and Women’s Open would start at 7am at Myy Mall. The runners would take to LutongPujut 7 road before returning to Myy Mall.

“Registration for the run is still open,” he said.

The prize for the winner is RM550 cash, first runner-up ( RM350), and second runner-up ( RM150). Those placed fourth to 10th will each get RM50.

Mohd said the first 10 winners in each category will also get sunglasses.

PAS picked Miri for the Malaysia Day celebration this year, and other activities planned are a children’s colouring contest, a convoy involving PAS leaders, distributing donations to the needy, and donating blood at Myy Mall.

It will end with the Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia Dinner on Sept 15 at Eastwood Valley Miri. PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is expected to address the guests.

Hakimah Mohamad, the organising chairperson said the contest is divided into Category A ( Kindergarten and Pre-school), Category B (Primary 1-3), and Category C (Primary 4- 6).

The contest will be held on Sept 14 at Myy Mall, and those interested can still register.
