Village community leaders all behind Nansian

-

BAU: Community leaders of Kampung Skibang pledged their undivided loyalty to Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie during a leader-meets-people session at its community hall, where 300 people gathered last Saturday.

Penghulu Jagoi Jihen Minaw and Skibang headman Doros Nopek said their charges acknowledged that Nansian had not failed to visit the village and render assistance — be it infrastracture development or financial aid.

The Assistant Minister for Community Services would grant minor rural project ( MRP) allocations to the village security and development committee (JKKK), its women’s bureau, church, school and nongovernmental bodies.

Doros said Nansian is an assemblyman who never tires of going to the ground to see for himself what needs to be done for the villagers.

“YB Datuk brought many development changes in our area and that is why there is a community hall, good main road, proper maintenance of culverts and upgrading of village roads.

“These are all because of his caring attitude in wanting to develop rural areas,” he said.

Doros hoped Barisan Nasional ( BN)’s top leadership would re-nominate Nansian as its candidate in the next state election as he is still winnable due to his past service to the state constituency.

In his speech that night, Nansian thanked their community leaders for their support

“I will continue to bring more development to Kampung Skibang as long as I am your elected representative,” he assured.

At the function, Nansian who is also Assistant Minister of Industrial Development, presented RM5,000 in MRP fund to the village JKKK, RM20,000 to its Church of St Philip, RM5,000 to the local Seventh Day Adventist Church, and RM5,000 to the SK Skibang ParentsTeachers Association.

He also announced the approval of RM470,000 for development projects such as the upgrading of the village community hall, farm roads, church car park and the road leading to the hall.
