‘Youths have role in achieving developed nation status’

SIBU: Youths are an asset as they play an important role in ensuring that the country would achieve developed nation status.

Lingga assemblywo­man Simoi Peri said this when officiatin­g at the closing of the ‘ Kawan Ku Sayang Keluarga Ku Kenang’ programme for youths under Lingga constituen­cy at Kemunyang Youth Camp here recently.

“The government has built a platform for the people of this state with programmes for youths. Thus, youths must strive to improve themselves in order to achieve success and contribute to national developmen­t,” she said.

Commenting on the programme, Simoi said it was one of the best platforms to inspire youths.

She hoped participan­ts would share their experience­s at the programme with youths in their areas.
