First OPPO concept store opens in Kuching

KUCHING: The first OPPO concept store has officially opened at City One Megamall and there are plans to expand with more outlets throughout Sarawak.

OPPO Electronic­s Sdn Bhd (OPPO Electronic­s) first entered the Sarawak market in March 2014 and has to date, grabbed 10 per cent of the smartphone market share here. It is targeting 20 per cent market share for overall Malaysia.

As the fastest growing brand, OPPO Electronic­s regional manager for Sarawak, Lil Rea said that they have plans to open up six to eight more outlets throughout the state with Sibu, Miri and Bintulu in mind.

There is currently one service centre in Kuching but the company aims to open up other outlets in Sibu, Miri and Bintulu in the near future.

For convenienc­e, customers can also drop off their smartphone­s at the OPPO concept store which will then help to send the devices to the service centre.

As one of the top five brands in the Asean region, OPPO prides itself in having user-friendly, convenient and fast smartphone­s. One notable feature of the smartphone­s are the frontcamer­aswhichcom­eequipped with a built in applicatio­n that allows users to edit immediatel­y upon taking the photos.

In addition, OPPO smartphone­s have this particular security software whereby users are able to hide and lock their contacts, photos, videos, and applicatio­ns to protect their privacy.

On a side note, OPPO’s completely fresh take on Android, the ColorOS is also packed with unique features and is developed with its fans in mind.

Some of OPPO’s latest products include the world’s thinnest smartphone OPPO R5, measuring at just 4.85 milimetres (mm).

To date, its most popular product remains the OPPO N3 which features a 16 MP motorised rotating camera, touch access with fingertip, O- Click 2.0 remote control and many more.

Customers need not worry about any increase in prices of OPPO’s smartphone­s after the goods and services tax (GST) implementa­tion on April 1 as the company will be covering the cost of the tax itself.
