“We are here today (yesterday) as I’ve promised to get the financial support needed for the development of each organisation present here.
“We understand that organisation like Sarawak Heart Foundation needs more equipment and better facilities in order to help more heart patients throughout Sarawak,” she added.
Jamilah hoped that the donations would be able to help these organisations run more activities to benefit the communities, improve their facilities with more equipment to provide better services to people in need and other developments that they see fit.
She also advised the organisations not to waste money on preparations if they wanted her to visit them.
“I will do my best to help you from time to time,” she assured.
Yayasan Pembangunan Iktisad Islam Malaysia is a voluntary organisation to assist people in needs.
The foundation was launched in Kuching in 1983 by the then Head of State Tun Datuk Patinggi Abdul Rahman Yaacob.
