May Chan leaves filming crew fuming for being late for photoshoot by five hours
HONG KONG: Not one, not two, not even three.
Actress May Chan left a fi lming crew fuming after arriving very late for a scheduled photoshoot – she was five hours behind time.
Crew members shook their heads and dismissed her as a “prima donna”, but she explained that she had a family emergency.
May told newsmen that she had called to explain the situation, and offered to reschedule the photoshoot, but the crew wouldn’t budge.
Said a flustered-looking May: “I asked the crew if I could shoot it another day so they wouldn’t need to wait for me, but they told me that it had to be today. I already told them that I wouldn’t be there until 8.30pm at the earliest. Maybe there was a communication problem. I can’t explain it all.”
Photographer and radio deejay Sunny had even uploaded a photo of a lady who resembled May and wrote the complaint: “Originally scheduled for 4pm. ( She) didn’t arrive until 9pm.”
Among the comments posted with this was: “Taught her dancing before, and she kept complaining she couldn’t do this and that.”
Sunny said he had been shooting posters for Patrick Kong’s upcoming fi lm project. He said, “May was one of the artistes. Originally we planned on wrapping up at 6pm, but she told us that she would be a little late. In the end, we didn’t fi nish until 10pm.”
Complained Sunny: “She didn’t even apologise for it. Waiting for her was really annoying! I work with many different people every year. I don’t think I want to work with her again.”
