Logos Hope to return with over 5,000 books

KUCHING: Floating book fair Logos Hope will return here from next Thursday (April 2) until April 29 with an expanded selection of over 5,000 books at affordable prices.

With subjects ranging from science to sports, hobbies, family life, children’s titles, academic texts, dictionari­es and atlases, the book fair will be something the whole family can enjoy.

Additional­ly, the Visitor Experience deck is open for the public to explore from the Welcome Area, which introduces the 45-year- old vessel through a short movie and interactiv­e displays, to the Internatio­nal Cafe, which has ice- cream, drinks and snacks for sale.

There will also be events onboard such as the Internatio­nal Music Night on April 26 and Open Ship events on April 12 and April 19, which offer a great opportunit­y to see and learn more about the ship and her 400-strong crew. Other cultural events on-board are The Latino Cafe on April 10 and British Evening Tea Time on April 17, which offer a chance to interact with some of the Latin and British crew members.

Limited tickets for the events are priced at RM5 each and available at the Logos Hope book fair. Entrance passes for boarding Logos Hope are priced at RM1 each, but children under 12 accompanie­d by an adult can enter for free.

The ship’s regular opening hours are 2pm to 9.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays; 10am to 9.30pm on Wednesdays through Saturdays; and 1pm to 9.30pm on Sundays.

However, there will be special opening hours next Thursday (April 2) – from 1pm to 9.30pm and next Friday (April 3) from 2pm to 9.30pm.
