Four new K1M open in Kanowit
SIBU: Leaders of the IMalaysia Community ( K1M) are reminded to be honest and transparent in utilising the allocations channelled to them.
Ngemah assemblyman Alexander Vincent said as leaders, they were already the hope of the community and other members in mobilising the K1M’s activities.
“Make full use of the allocation given for the benefit and the good of all. If you do not know how to make use of it, it is no use for the government to allocate fund for your K1M. It is a waste of money from the government,” he said when officiating at a joint formation of four new K1M in Kanowit District, held at Rumah Kaunselor Dang Enjat, Sungai Bob, Kanowit on Saturday evening.
Also present were Kanowit district officer, Katis Noel Nyabong, Kanowit Information District Officer, Donny Minggu Ling, Pemanca Spencer Kudang and Tuai Rumah Cr.Dang.
The four new K1M are K1M Sungai Bob headed by Dang, K1M Nanga Dap (Penghulu Juin Adan), K1M Pedai ( Tuai Rumah Basil Ujang) and K1M Penyulau/Lukut ( Patricia Lim).
Alexander said every allocation channelled should be fully utilised for the purpose of social, security and strengthening friendships.
“The allocations received should be channelled to the grassroots for organising community-based activities. Spend the allocation honestly,” he advised.
