Actress Elfira Loy offers tips on Internet entrepreneurship

-

KUCHING: Malaysian actress Nurul Elfira Loy Ahmad Sabri, or better known as Elfira Loy, shared her tips on becoming a successful Internet entrepreneur yesterday.

The 21-year- old actress shared her story with over 150 people during a threeday Online Networking Entrepreneurs ( ONE) Carnival organised by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).

“It is really important to take the input that we want and apply it where we think it should go,” she told the rapt audience at Plaza Merdeka here.

After her talk, the attendees got to interact with Elfira and asked her questions.

“I think education is extremely important - those who learn, the largest difference is that we instill discipline in ourselves. Even though I was already in the entertainment industry, I still chose to study and this has really affected the way I think.

“I like to listen to what my lecturers are talking about during classes, as I find that what they say can not only be applied to the classroom but also in our life,” emphasised Elfira, who is currently pursuing her tertiary education at KDU College.

During the last day of the ONE Carnival, there was also a seminar on online entrepreneurship presented by MARA, TEKUN, AIM as well as Wall Dariz.

Members of the public who attended the ONE Carnival yesterday also got to participate in lucky draws, quizzes and be entertained by performances from invited artistes and buskers.
