SIBU: The government has allocated RM4.5 million to build a resource centre for villages in the Nangka constituency through the Rural Transformation Programme ( RTP).
Nangka assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapaee said the construction of the centre will cost RM500,000 and is scheduled to take five years to complete once it begins in January 2016.
The villages that will benefit from it include Kampung Datu, Kampung Datu Bahru, Kampung Hilir, Kampung Jeriah, Kampung Seduan, Kampung Nangka, Kampung Hijrah, Kampung Bahagia Jaya and three longhouses.

Present was Tadika Hikmah Sibu Parent-Teacher Association president Helmi Junaidi.
Yayasan Asia also sponsored 500 English textbooks to nine primary schools in Nangka. The books will be used for the ‘ I Speak English’ programme which will be launched next year.
