PBB Samariang Youth told to learn the ropes in next polls

-

KUCHING: The Youth wing of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB) Samariang branch should look at the next state election as a platform to groom themselves as next generation’s leaders.

In pointing this out, Samariang assemblywoman Shari fah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali said as the youngest faction in the party, the members ought to learn the basics of how the party handles its affairs.

“Therefore, the next state election is a good avenue for you to learn and adapt with others, observe and applied what you learn and to equip yourself with the necessary knowledge,” said Hasidah.

She was speaking at the PBB N7 Samariang election machinery launch at Riverside Majestic Hotel recently.

According to Hasidah, it was the first time that PBB N7 Samariang is launching its election machinery in a grand manner and called it an initiative for the younger generation to close ranks with PBB higher-ups.

“The PBB Youth will be handling the logistics, the hanging of flags and banners and these jobs will be arranged and directed to PBB Youth. Through these means, the youths will not be left out and will have their own responsibility during the election,” Hasidah said.

She reminded Youth members to obey the directives of branch leaders and not to feel left out. “Make yourself available and report to your branch leaders,” she added.

On a related matter, Hasidah called for PBB Youth to focus on events, programmes and assisting the people and not to get carried away with threats by the opposition.

“Do not focus too much on the opposition but instead on your work and programmes to assist the people. This is more important,” she reminded.

Also present at the event was N7 Youth acting chairman Syed Zyed Wan Asnawi.
