Johor govt outlines five measures in determining state’s vision
JOHOR BAHARU: The Johor government has outlined five measures through its performance leadership agenda in an effort to ensure that the state administration has a clear vision.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the move was important as Johor was one of the states in the forefront, in terms of economic growth, population increase and steady stream of local and foreign investments.
“The first step is the streamlining of strategic direction for major development agendas of the state, the Malaysia Plan, Suara Hati Johor Plan and and state budget.
“Secondly is to set the yearly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) after discussing with all parties. After the yearly KPIs are agreed upon, we then have the implementation stage, at this phase, we require the concerted efforts of all parties involved,” he said.
He was speaking at the Exco Awayday 2016 ceremony here yesterday, attended by 350 people from government departments, state and federal agencies as well as government-linked companies.
Mohamed Khaled said the following step was monitoring and reporting to check on the actual physical progress, get feedback from the field staff as well as the public and to evaluate the performance of these initiatives.
According to him, the fifth step was the quarterly publication of the progress report which was vital for public information. — Bernama
